I just finished reading these chapters in one sitting and I need a minute. The pacing here is absolutely relentless and I am not okay. We go from a comedic restaurant scene — clue hidden in the RESTROOM, which had me laughing out loud — to He Suyan acting cute (hilarious), to the ice rink reveal (shocking), to the Su family's full-scale media attack (dark), to the hallway confrontation (tense), and it all happens within a few chapters. There is no breathing room and I mean that in the best possible way. The transition from the light-hearted eating livestream segment straight into the practice room disaster was a masterclass in tonal whiplash. One moment they're enjoying food like normal people, the next they're facing an ice rink and a deadline. And then just when you think things can't get worse, the live stream gets cut and we're dropped into the political maneuvering between the Su and Jiang families. The chapter ending with Su Yuqing saying "Are you done performing?" to Su Chengxi is the perfect cliffhanger. It's sharp, it's satisfying, and it leaves you desperate to know what happens next. The author knows exactly how to keep you hooked — alternate between comedy, tension, and emotional beats so rapidly that you can't put it down.
