This is such a well-written novel, very engaging, and it has a 9.9 rating on JJWXC. It’s heavily plot-driven and combines elements of sci-fi action with BL.
I really don’t understand the previous review. Yes, this is a post-apocalyptic BL drama. If you’re looking for "yaoi sweetness and smexy times" (as mentioned in the first review), this isn’t the right novel. However, there’s a significant misrepresentation in that review.

The MC is not a naive or innocent character; he’s quite proactive but has low emotional intelligence. The MC can be manipulative and cruel at times, which adds layers to the story.
The sexual content is not explicit, and there are instances of dubious consent, but there are also clear moments of explicit consent and declarations of love. The situation is nuanced, and it’s not advisable to skip around just looking for the sex scenes.
Regarding trigger warnings, read the tags and the summary. The MC is described as having a "black belly," the story is dramatic, and it starts with the MC on death row. This is not a sweet, pampering novel, and it’s not for everyone, but it’s also not a tragic torture novel.

For my own part, I gave it a four.

The author seems to have overlooked the intended portrayal of the female protagonist as a cool, competent leader. Instead, she comes across as one-dimensional, relying on meek expressions and subservience, which starkly contrasts with her supposed traits. This lack of depth and development makes the character unengaging. It's disheartening to think that there was potential for a more compelling narrative. If the character's personality doesn't align with her current depiction, it might be more fitting to depict her as a high school student, reflecting the persona she predominantly exhibits.
Honestly, I found the main couple quite delightful. Despite the length, the story progressed steadily without being overly dramatic. Our protagonist, MC, has a skin condition that gives him a hunger syndrome, but he also battles severe misophobia, needing sleep therapy to cope. Surprisingly, he finds himself drawn to his roommate's intense basketball matches, almost desiring physical contact without realizing it.
Due to his reserved nature, MC avoids getting close to ML, leading to a misunderstanding where ML assumes MC dislikes him. The surprise and confusion when MC finally asks for a hug are genuine turning points in their relationship development.
What follows is a gradual exploration of their connection, with well-balanced romance, occasional tension, and resolving minor misunderstandings. It's refreshing to see that MC, despite his initial cold exterior, is actually shy and渴望 affection, which makes his pursuit of love seem authentic.
The narrative focuses on the growth of MC and ML's bond, while addressing their individual struggles and the supportive dynamics between them. Both characters exhibit self-interest, stemming from MC's condition, but the story ultimately emphasizes their growth and care for each other.
In summary, this novel provides an enchanting, calm, and romantic read, perfect for those seeking a shorter, well-paced tale. I highly recommend it.

D*mn the synopsis is good
This is essentially a journal of incremental stats, filled with cringeworthy moments and tedious conversations. The descriptions are unimaginative and lack any distinctive or fresh elements. As a result, it falls short as an engaging read, leaving me quite disappointed.
It’s bad alright. Seems like that author forgot MC is a genius at creating a multitude of weapons and you’d assume if MC went to a magic world he develop a variety of different weapons. I’d hope it would be something similar to Gourmet of Another World, where the MC is more focused on his craft than outside buzz, but rather just a puppet selling weapons for the system.
