The stakes in these chapters are layered and I love how the author keeps raising them. On the surface, there's the scandal — Wen Yining photographed leaving a hotel with Xi Yu, the story is trending, both families are involved. But the real conflict is underneath everything. Xi Yu's internal conflict: he thinks he's been manipulated by a woman who used a drugged drink to trap him. His father abandoned him, his mother left, and now apparently a stranger tried to compromise him. His response is to build the wall higher — "Don't ever appear before me again." But The Old Master sees through it and challenges him to face what he's been running from. Wen Yining's conflict is even more complicated. She's guilty because her mother put something in that juice. She's trapped because she can't tell the truth without incriminating herself and her family. She's terrified of Xi Yu's hatred. And yet she's also genuinely afraid — not just of consequences, but of what this means for her future. I loves this book! I normally can’t stand the formal switching of povs , but it really worked for this story and author. Very impressive!!! I wish I had more gems to share....
so apparently this author loves for the female lead to be cheated or abused on. I read a few from this author and in every book the female is stuck with a worthless male. sorry author but u dnt make any of ur males likeable and they certainly don't deserve ur female lead.
All caught up so far, and I couldn't put it down! Really looking forward to seeing where things lead up to next!

This is more like a drama of regular people than werewolves.
This is a good story. Reading this after reading Lucy & Renia's parents story. Waiting for the next update author. Can't wait to read more.... please update it asap...
