Slow start, but don't let that deter you from reading this. The story builds nicely, and spoiler: it really picks up the pace when the MC finds his wielder.

**Thoughts:** I was torn between giving this a 4.5 and a 5, but ultimately settled on 4.5 because there were certain storylines and aspects that I felt deserved more attention.
Despite that, I genuinely enjoyed this novel! The main character (MC) isn't omniscient; while he has the advantage of modern knowledge, much of it doesn't apply to the historical setting. Additionally, he's not particularly skilled at cooking, but he manages to succeed in the food industry thanks to the talents of his male lead (ML), Ji Yan. Their collaboration, combining MC's ideas with ML's culinary expertise, makes for a compelling narrative.
I also appreciated the balanced approach to character development. Antagonists receive fitting consequences, and even flawed characters have the opportunity to redeem themselves. The overall tone is sweet and relaxing, and the translation is of high quality, making it a pleasure to read. I look forward to revisiting this story once it's completed!

The power given by the potions are quite limited so the fights here are smart, for example one lowest tier potion gives an ability to people to become assassin but they just have the feather falling and agility boost. One is a hunter potion that gives hunting skills. And there is even a potion that can make you open all doors or make a door in a wall. And this novel has one if not the best world building. If you have any questions just to ask, it has 1400 chapters so I can't explain in one go
