very nice. want to see more chapters asap
another beautiful story to have sleepless nights i guess...
I need to talk about the emotional core of this chapter because there's more warmth here than you'd expect from a music industry story. The relationship between Luo Qingxu and Fei Jiajun is genuinely touching. Fei Jiajun is clearly exhausted by this kid—'Aunt Jun, stop! Don't call me Aunt Jun anymore'—but she also brings Luo Qingxu to meet Xie Jiayin, stakes her professional reputation, and then takes her home for a home-cooked meal. That's not just professional obligation; that's care. And the scene at Fei Jiajun's house—Zhong Jinghe in the kitchen, Nan Nan being his usual sarcastic self, the family eating together—there's this deep sense of found family and chosen warmth that contrasts with Luo Qingxu's lonely 'little nest' at Bihai Bay. But the most emotionally resonant moment is Xie Jiayin patting Luo Qingxu's head and calling her 'an interesting kid.' For someone who's clearly been in this industry a long time and is initially reluctant to participate, that small gesture of affection shows she's been genuinely moved. She sees something in Luo Qingxu that reminds her of why she started singing. And Luo Qingxu's excitement—'Yay! Yay! Yay'—is so pure and unguarded. She's not performing for anyone in that moment. The chapter also has this undercurrent of justice and protection—Luo Qingxu stepping in to defend the bullied boy, the handsome guy stepping in to stop the bully. There's something deeply satisfying about seeing people protect the vulnerable, even if Luo Qingxu's version of protection is 'I'm your grandma!' I ended this chapter feeling genuinely warm, which I didn't expect from a chapter about music industry negotiations and street fights.
