Plot holes!!!
Plotholes everywhere to the point it made this novel look like a beehive!
I'm not the most thorough or acute reader, so I usually miss plotholes when I read a novel. However, when it comes to fanfiction of original works that I love, such as Marvel, the plotholes become glaringly obvious.
The most noticeable plothole that kept disturbing my mood throughout the novel is the inconsistency in the main character's (MC) knowledge of the Marvel universe.
In the very first chapter, it's established that the MC is a hardcore fan of Marvel, especially the Avengers series, to the point where he knows the plot of the Avengers films up to "Avengers: Infinity War," which he watched right before he was transmigrated.
However, the MC often acts as if he doesn't know anything about the plot, even though he always recognizes famous characters.
For example, he should have been able to prevent the death of significant characters, like Black Panther's father. If he's supposed to be a hardcore Marvel fan, he should know that the death of Black Panther's father sparks the Civil War among the Avengers. Instead, he acts like an ignorant bystander. It's as if the author was too lazy to alter the major plot points and just let them unfold as they do in the canon.
This kind of inconsistency is found throughout the entire series, and later, the author makes weak excuses, such as the transmigration causing the MC's memory to go haywire or something similar.
Come on! This is fanfiction! You should be creative and make changes that differ from the canon!
If you're just copying and pasting from the canon, what's the point of reading this novel? It's no different from watching the original movies but with the addition of a new character with cheats.
Considering it's a relatively new release, not many have had the chance to read it yet. So, here's an honest review. If you're a fan of childcare-themed stories, you'll definitely enjoy the narrative. The main character has a well-developed personality; she doesn't come across as demanding or overly assertive, which is refreshing. Although the plot is straightforward and the villain is introduced rather early on, it might not be packed with intense drama just yet. The translations are top-notch. As of chapter 12, I'm looking forward to reading more. Keep up the excellent work, translator!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first part of the story up until the birthday plot for the main character (ML). Despite a few plot inconsistencies, it was engaging. After the initial high point with the birthday sequence, the pacing seemed to slow down slightly for me. From the hints dropped, I推测 the second climax might revolve around their past lives. I'm determined to see it through to the end!
Throughout the story, I shed quite a lot of tears, but I really adore the main character Shi Jin and his system - it's incredibly endearing. I also appreciated the author's handling of the brothers' redemption arc; it was a heartwarming narrative. Although there were some emotional heavy moments, it had a satisfying happy ending, so just hold on through the tearful bits – it's worth it!
Try Goblin Kingdom, the mc is op but not to the point of destroying armies alone. Personally I like it, and there are actual tactics in stead of mc's army just bull dozing 24/7. Also mc sometimes loses and most importantly its not a harem novel~
They both are so good but journey's chapter are less longer, fights a bit more interesting. Though both are good tho.
"It's a delightful and amusing read! I breezed through it in about three days, I believe. The novel has some adorable and hilarious moments between the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML). The MC showcases intelligence when tackling political matters or challenges faced by royalty, adapting swiftly after his unexpected transmigration. He's like a 'fox in rabbit's clothing,' as ML puts it, trying to appear tough in a lighthearted way."
My favorite supporting characters besides the MC and ML are Meng (the ultimate wingman), Gu Changyun, and Xu Du, despite their limited appearances. Gu Changyun and Xu Du might not have been as prominent, but they added value to the story.
However, there's a spoiler here: some readers have mentioned the author's tendency to sideline secondary characters, which is a bit disappointing. That's the only aspect I didn't particularly enjoy.
Lastly, please forgive me if my review isn't perfect – my memory may be hazy, but overall, I had a positive impression of the book.
God it’s still updating - have mercy on us
Is this your destiny to stumble upon this novel? Do not reject destiny my friend
