Amazingly fun read!! So different from other books on Good novel. This kept me hooked start to finish! LOVED the mystery and intrigue, while still being true to a good wolfie book. Never boring, plot kept moving, while keeping you guessing. Great job Author! bring on Book 2 please

The structure of these chapters is doing something really clever that I want to unpack. You start in media res with the front courtyard in absolute chaos—debts piling up, people shouting, Old Mrs. Wu nearly fainting. It's frantic, overwhelming, almost comedic in its intensity. And then—bam—you cut to the side courtyard and it's dead silent. Jiang Xiu is just sitting there with her children. The contrast is so sharp it's almost jarring. This isn't just a scene transition; it's a thematic statement. The household is burning down out there, but the woman who was keeping it from burning down for ten years has finally put down the bucket. The pacing then slows down even more as Jiang Xiu reads through her account books, and this quiet moment of review becomes the most powerful scene in the entire chapter. Ten years of dowry, every entry recorded. The author lets you sit with that weight. And then it builds again—Wu Xiong deciding to go coax Jiang Xiu, Lin Shuang's smile, Wu Ling's determination, Fu Fu's internal commentary about pawning the marquisate plaque. The tension rises not through action but through anticipation. We KNOW something big is coming at the birthday banquet, and the author is stretching out every moment of preparation like pulling taffy.

HOW PATHETIC, too many repeat lines, sentences and chapters and NO STORYLINE. If you took all of the above out you’ll be left with only 5 chapters and I only got to ch 43

I must admit, I'm rather astonished that I managed to reach Chapter 93 before losing interest in this series. Of course, I did skim through parts, but reading comprehension becomes significantly harder without the language barrier. To be fair, I only read about 40 chapters in Japanese. Nevertheless, looking back, the story was decent up until he met Yue. It was intense survival, a gripping tale. However, the author turned him into a chuunibito nightmare, even acknowledging it, which felt frustrating at the time. I was hooked on the series, but now...
The quality started declining after they left the first dungeon. It went from great to good, then good to merely acceptable, and eventually to "why bother reading this anymore?" Despite my curiosity about what happened after their reunion, I continued.
The turning point came when they met again at school. The rabbit girl's clinginess was overwhelming. She wasn't particularly bright and persistent, and I always suspected she misinterpreted her feelings as love. But the girl from his class... People can have different expectations and the op have Higher expectations, which is very common especially when you've ever visited a books club or novel club.
