Is everything alright? The beginning was quite lengthy due to the MC's system and the universe's rules. Sometimes, the MC's naivety and sluggishness frustrate me to the point of wanting to bang my head. He's also stubborn, refusing to stop until he hits a wall, then impulsively blaming and scolding the system that had given him advice multiple times. I stopped reading because I couldn't stomach how the secondary character was portrayed. The author portrayed the general as despicable, but then seemed to lose control. It's unjust to call Fu Zhan a scoundrel. It was Wang Chen who had doubts about their relationship, believing the arranged match would be better for his lover. Fu Zhan was willing to defy his family for love. I sincerely hope Fu Zhan finds a new love (ideally, with another man) who truly appreciates and supports him. And yes, it's relieving to see many readers, like myself, questioning Wang Chen's actions.

although I do like the story. I constantly feel like I'm reading the script for a manga or graphic novel in that the transitions in many parts of the novel as well as the weird lack of details seem to insinuate that there probably should be a picture series included

If it didn't do that and the author was consistent with the names then it'd be great
But it's so annoying to see the leader of the place (MCs first subordinate) have her name change from Rachel to Quinn to Sarah to others and back
The ending was such a letdown. It was in the middle of the night and now I felt lost.
