I love this story. Short and to the point I love the fact that everything was on the table and there were no secrets that made it carry on unnecessarily. They were up front about their feelings! Thank you to the author. What’s next? I will happily pay to read it.
love all the twists
very interesting, love reading it
Very unique book, been awed by the story and the characters all along.
This book is something else, love it sooo much
thumbs up..nice book ... ...
I need to just say it—Yuya is genuinely one of the most well-written supporting characters I've encountered in this genre, and I'm not even being dramatic about it. Think about the trade scene. She could have totally scammed these girls. She knows white rice is valuable. She knows mountain people get ripped off by peddlers at the foot of the mountain. Instead she brings back honey, dried rabbit, dried chicken, mushrooms, AND wood ear fungus for five jin of rice. Both sides feel like they got the better end of the deal. That's not naive generosity—that's genuine warmth from someone who understands value and chooses fairness anyway. And then she catches those two huge black fish and insists on giving them one even after already trading. 'Oh, those little things aren't worth eating! Take this one—it's got way more meat!' She's not performing kindness. She just genuinely wants the Xiahe sisters to have more. That's the difference between a well-written character and a cardboard one. The dynamic with Lin Xiaohe is also interesting because it's not dependency. These two are equals. Yuya has access to mountain resources, Lin Xiaohe has access to grain and market knowledge. They complement each other without either one being in a position of power over the other. And Yuya calling Xiaogu 'cute' and making her blush? The sisterly trio dynamic is so natural it hurts. Then there's Wu Lingling, who remembers Lin Xiaohe from when she fell in the river and wants to visit with a gift. She's thoughtful enough to wait until she can bring something rather than showing up empty-handed. These are all women and girls who lift each other up instead of competing. In a genre where female relationships are often reduced to scheming and rivalry, this is genuinely refreshing.
amazing!!!
One of the best stories I've read yet in the werewolf romance genre. Such vibrant characters and fun storytelling. Eagerly waiting for the next chapters!
Great book.
