The gland lock is another symbol I can't ignore — a device that suppresses power and can destroy the wearer. It's a literal shackle, but it also represents the vulnerability that comes with power. Ying Zhu is an S-rank, the most powerful person in this world, and yet he's helpless in that warehouse. The lock makes that helplessness technological, but the real chains are emotional. What is this story really about, underneath all the violence and technology? I think it's about two men who are both desperately lonely, both searching for connection in the wrong places, both trapped by their own power and status. The wedding dress, the memory cards, the camera — they're all artifacts of that search.

loved this book. couldn't put it down once I started
The sequel to this is awesome! Both parts have been amazing ! First hunter and Abby ! Oh man I want a marriage like that ! Then not only did she end the first part of the book with a happy ending, she is doing amazing on the second part about Raphael and Emerald! I highly recommend this author!
I give 5 ... for the hardworking of Author. it has an intrigued start. I liked the plot and the surprise evil. I disliked the end. Abram didn't deserve Myra after all he and his mom did to her.
I enjoyed both books but I definitely liked the second one a little better. it was fantastic up until the end. it just seemed so abrupt after everything but I still loved it. can't wait for Liz's book
