Okay so this chapter opens with the most deliciously petty scene—Liu Meiling force-feeding awful fishy soup to Li Mingliang while Qian Mianmian gets actual chicken soup. The contrast is chef's kiss. And then the amnesia reveal hits me like a truck. Xiao Yunchen gets saved, can't remember who he is, and Liu Meiling's first instinct isn't compassion—it's "pay up." The system even has a compensation feature now, which is both hilarious and kind of brilliant. But the real plot bomb drops when she finds out Mianmian is NINETEEN and in her final year of high school. Nineteen! She's been raising a child she thought was hers while neglecting her own biological daughter. The entire emotional architecture of her past life just collapses in one sentence. And then—plot twist within a twist—Qin Xiangru's kids might not even be hers. The switched-at-birth mystery is simmering underneath everything. This author knows how to layer reveals. Every scene builds on the last, and by the time Liu Meiling is cracking eggs for herself in the morning, you realize she's not just changing her behavior—she's dismantling an entire family system. The narrative is tight, every detail connects, and I am HERE for it.
Finally Odell did not mess up and ended realizing what’s going on with Shermaine and Ruth shady self! I want to her about what Sherry doing and why she’s still staying away from her daughter after all this time!
