I've read up to Chapter 100 and beyond, despite having more chapters to explore. To change my rating to 2.5 stars, imagine JoJo's Stand abilities replacing Marvel connections. Disregard any familiarity with the MCU characters' traits, as it leads to frustration. Picture them as compassionate persimmons rather than angry mobsters – a subtle shift that will become clear around Chapter 98.
Here are a few points to consider:
1. The story feels excessively Chinese with its ruthless elimination of witnesses and descendants.
2. The pacing is slow; Marvel character interactions don't start until Chapter 53.
3. MCU characters are portrayed out of character, with drastic personality changes and illogical genius behavior.
4. The main character contradicts himself by claiming not to kill under certain circumstances but kills two minor gangsters after an attack, then offers vague explanations.
The protagonist still retains an Xianxia-like vibe, lacking the Marvel essence. There's not much improvement so far, but I'll provide more insights after reading another 100 chapters.

The first encounter with Black Widow was disappointing. The MC overdoes the healing aspect with food, unnecessarily complicating things and failing to communicate. Instead of a simple explanation, he performs a full-blown cure, causing her discomfort and leading to her defensive reaction. This encounter felt forced and took away from the experience. ????

Reach the end of chapter, the story is very nice, FL was reasonable and likeable, she is smart and can work everything out well without any second help most of the time. The ML is unexpected but somehow I feel it satisfied with the couple, some people might hate it tho. Overall I think this will be one of the story that will remind in my mind.
Sadly it seems the translation won't be able to get through to the end, I've search everywhere but couldn't find it. If you really curious about the end you could also look for the drama version, there is some different part but most of the important part are the same.
I don't remember but everyone you see at the beginning will become important and relevant through out the entire novel. It's really good in my opinion

Man I read all the other cf books, but hands down this has the slowest beginning of all of his books combined, even I had trouble getting over the first 100 chapters.
The start is good. Although I hate Fu Tingzhou due to his bullshit mindset but still expected thinking about the era he was in. As a modern female, I can't accept his views. That's the reality being born as part of nobility, always thinking in political stand point and benefits they could get. I've read a lot of good historical genre, although most are transmigration, they really hit you on the face.The good thing here is there's no rebirth occured but only amnesia, hence used plot still better than rebirth nonsense now that I'm quite tired of.I would say some events are quite detailed and hence often dragged. But since this focusing on Lu Heng's acting as Fu Tingzhou to fool Wang Yanqing, there's a bit of realizations and mistakes here and there during their interactions. How Lu Heng can put on appearances without faltering.I like our little villain Lu Heng, and his tactics and mindset. I've read a lot of novels and there are few who can make me feel awe, and often goosebumps. His abilities of course can't be par on some novels, but since this novel caters to women, his abilities are great for this genre.I'm doubting if the author studied psychology because this is way too detailed and I had some understanding. I can even say I could lie better now, kidding .
I am bit confused with d names of the real female lead, in prologue, she is Xia with father & stepmum. then from chapter 1 start, surname zhao, with both parents, n she spent 21yrs of her life with her hubby Zheng. same person as in d prologue?

Meh. It was good in the beginning and it still is good but the apprentice thing was kinda useless. I'd have preferred her to travel alone with the beasts.
