The basket was heavy and I wished I could have someone there to help me. I was clumsy enough to provoke an accident. If Jacob was there with me I wouldn't have to worry about carrying the basket. I felt guilty about thinking about him but he was my friend and I wanted him to accept Edward. But that would never happen.
