I thought the external conflict was just Chen Jue vs. starvation, but then the villagers show up and suddenly the stakes get way more complicated. This woman Hehua—oh my god. This novel has a fresh take on a mate bond. Both main leads are very likable and exasperating at the same time. The pace, the world building is great. Love it!
I want more! liliana the woman that you are, I bet damian would fall in love with her, I can't wait to see the chasing arc, I'm happy seeing how she refused to succumb to damians wishes and threats even when shes mourning...... let's see how it goes but I'm impressed and hooked, well done author...
