For several years, I delved into web novels, and this marks my inaugural comment on one. After reading the entire series from beginning to end, there's only one word that truly encapsulates my experience: incredible. The story is a true masterpiece, both touching and inspiring. It has left a profound impact on me, not only as a member of humanity but also as an adult, offering valuable life lessons along the way.
Thanks a lot, probably mark it as spoiler for other people landing here.
I like the pov via a very young girl, at the start it took me a bit more focus to line everything up but it gets smoother later. I recommend this story!
Gu Shishi transmigrated as a cannon fodder for a white lotus couple. With a dating system giving out weird requests in order to catch his own MALE LEAD, will she be able to move the germophobic block of ice of a fiancé?
You go Gu Shishi! Thread carefully or you might be EATEN whole!
Sure just no cultivations since that's my main issue with Chinese novels
it does not get anymore updates as of today its bean a year sinds it was last updated
This is my first-ever review, and I just had to share my thoughts on this incredible novel! It's exceptional, easily making it into my top three favorites. Initially, I was hesitant due to its length being only four chapters, but my doubts were quickly shattered.
The story exceeded all expectations, leaving me utterly speechless. It's a heartwarming, cute, and sweet tale with no unnecessary drama – a true delight. The female lead, FL, teases the male lead, ML, in a charming way that's hard not to love. She's more than adorable; there's something unique about her character that defies description. On the other hand, the ML is an absolute sweetheart, shy yet lovable, making for a delightful dynamic.
If you're on the fence about reading this, I say go for it! Even if you don't end up loving it, the short length ensures minimal time investment. What I appreciate most is the satisfying conclusion without the usual empty feeling that comes from finishing a longer book. It leaves me with a warm, fuzzy feeling, making me eager to revisit it.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this novel to anyone considering it. Life is short, so embrace the opportunity to read something enjoyable! Trust me, you won't regret it. Lastly, a huge thank you to the author and translator for creating such a wonderful story. I truly enjoyed every moment of it. ??
This narrative is truly a remarkable work, and I wholeheartedly endorse it. Initially, it took me some time to fully engage due to the丰富的内容, which can be overwhelming at the start. However, once I became invested, there was no turning back.
The protagonist is undeniably likable; I find myself cheering him on every step of the way. I genuinely wish for him to experience happiness – he certainly deserves it. He displays immense intelligence, treating everyone with dignity, and selflessly giving without seeking anything in return. He's an exceptional strategist, skilled in combat, and someone you'd instantly want as a friend. Despite his tragic past and low self-esteem, he encounters amazing individuals who help him see his worth.
As for translation, I suggest starting with 'Library Key' and switching to 'wuxia' later when the free access expires. Both are great, but be aware that the first 170 chapters of 'wuxia' were translated by a different translator with mixed quality. To keep track of numerous characters, maintaining a list might be handy. It takes time to adapt to such an extensive cast, which further solidifies the author's prowess.
This story revolves around a hero's quest to save the world from a mysterious antagonist, sans the typical romance found in my usual genres. But that's not a hindrance; the主角's wholesome and affectionate relationships with others provide ample emotional depth. Action, intricate plots, character development, and high-stakes situations keep the story engaging. Though our hero occasionally struggles with vulnerability and self-doubt, the author maintains a consistent narrative. They skillfully weave in plot threads that are resolved much later, even amidst the mystery. I'm confident that despite its complexity, I'll revisit this gem in the future, as it's simply outstanding.
"Just read and relax; it's an effortless read. The light novel (LN) adaptation offers superior storytelling in various aspects. Characters receive more development in the LN, and some scenes in the web novel (WN), being the early draft, might lack depth compared to the later versions. The start differs from both the LN and anime. Personally, I enjoy this novel and would rate it a solid 8.5 out of 10. Apologies for my limited English skills; I'm still learning. :)"
I was delighted to stumble upon positive reviews and decide to give this web novel a try on January 24, 2024. Initially, my expectations were low due to the common tropes, but the novel grabbed me with its somber beginning and the intriguing mystery surrounding the protagonist. Despite his skills and dedication, the main character (MC) is an imperfect human in a corrupt and brutal world, highlighting the importance of empathy and humanity.
What sets this story apart is its intelligent handling of familiar tropes. These clichés serve as a backdrop for the MC's misunderstandings from their previous life, adding depth to the narrative. At first, the MC appears cold, but their actions reveal a softer side when given the opportunity for a better outcome – a relatable struggle for anyone.
The MC's evolving relationship with the female lead (ML) is a compelling aspect. Initially, they were wary, but supporting ML indirectly led to a positive impact on the world. As the MC gains new experiences, their perspective on their past with ML changes, transforming from confusion and trauma to a more nuanced understanding of her worth.
What I appreciate is the gradual pace of revelation, which feels organic given the MC's history with ML. Unlike other stories, the focus is not solely on rectifying past wrongs but delving into complex issues, making the journey more authentic and engaging.
Even without delving into the world-building or character powers, I found the story captivating. The MC's quest for answers and the exploration of the past make for a compelling read. I'm particularly invested in Yuder's journey and root for him to achieve his unexpected potential.
As I continued reading, reaching chapter 819 on February 3rd, I created a Spotify playlist to accompany my emotions. While not everyone may enjoy the novel, I encourage others to give it a fair chance, as I believe it has something to offer. My review aims to share my enthusiasm.
Fast forward to February 20th, I'm now on chapter 1035 and have overcome the language barrier to access the web novel through Ridibooks. Kuyu's storytelling prowess is evident in the subtle buildup of events, and I'm grateful to contribute financially to the author and the manhwa team. I've started re-reading, enjoying the journey of character growth and the hidden hints towards future events.
Finally, on February 26th, at chapter 1039, I'm revisiting the story using translation tools. The emotional rollercoaster continues, and I'm highlighting instances of foreshadowing and connections to past events. I'm hopeful for a satisfying conclusion that ties up loose ends and resolves the remaining mysteries.
In summary, this web novel has captured my heart, and I encourage others to explore it, appreciating its well-handled tropes, character development, and the thought-provoking themes it presents.
I don't why people are commenting on racism in the novel is so bad or the propaganda is really annoying and stuff. It's mentioned in the genre itself it has racism. So you knew what you are getting into, so why complain about it later??
