I am in love with this book..
I was initially hoping to enjoy it and give it a full 5-star rating, but alas, I'm unable to. The character development, while commendable, feels sluggish from the protagonist's perspective. The storyline is generally engaging, but the inclusion of irrational psychopaths is a major drawback – it's hard to believe someone would place a general or a Shinsengumi leader in such a high position when their actions seem to prioritize ideology over the safety of their troops. High-ranking posts typically go to those capable of protecting others, but these characters come across as more prone to sacrificing their soldiers for their cause. It's ironic that out of all the people striving for peace, the one who stands out is deceased.
Absolut banger of a series, definitely one of the best I have read.

This is good but the translation is a little bit off. First of all Yolanthe isnt a "king" but an "Emperor".
Also in the beginning it said Anfey got the title of a duke but afterwards it said Anfey is an earl. Then he got promoted to a Real duke. We also have a couple moments where a marquis is called a duke. You cant call everyone a duke.
Also everyone except the emperor, his family and the dukes family is a noble not a royal.
Its barely readable im not gonna lie.
Its just so infuriating...
