i so love ur story it's so well formated and all the characters are on point. your writing style is so amazing
Let me just say — the pacing in these first two chapters is absolutely relentless and I cannot complain. Chapter 1 opens with a dramatic scene: Fu Cen lying in a pool of blood on the floor, servants weeping, a doctor present, an ECG monitor flatlining. This is a murder mystery opening dressed as a transmigration story. Then within the first few pages, we get the reveal that he's transmigrated, the backstory of the novel he read, the CEO contract scene (which is hilarious), and by the end of chapter 1, we already know the stakes: three years of 007 work, raising a traumatized child, and if he fails, he dies on the streets. That is A LOT of exposition packed into a single chapter without it feeling rushed. Chapter 2 immediately pivots to the Shen Sigu situation, and the scene transition from the mansion interior to the snowy garden is handled so smoothly. The author uses the intercom device as a brilliant pacing tool — Fu Cen communicating through the intercom to avoid face-to-face interaction is both a character moment and a narrative device that lets us hear the servant's news about the child without Fu Cen having to physically go find out. The chapter ends on a perfect cliffhanger with Shen Sigu calling out "Fu Cen Daddy, can I go home now?" and the kid's internal monologue revealing the full extent of his trauma. The tension builds naturally from the comedic transmigration setup to the genuinely heartbreaking child abuse reveal, and the shift in tone is handled with such precision. I stayed up way too late reading this.
Excellent story from end to end
This series is woven so well. I can't wait to see how the rest of this novel ties in.
