Pretty good in my opinion. Don't read this if you're looking for a serious or dark plot. This is a typical Xuanhuan novel with a super OP female lead. I happen to love her because she is my favorite type of character. The kind who doesn’t make empty threats and actually lives up to the title of a super assassin, rather than just cultivating first to kill people the conventional way. She genuinely takes down enemies without relying on cultivation, just as a top-notch assassin should.
Up until now, the narrative has been undeniably abusive. The protagonist, ML, exerts immense control, cutting off any escape routes for the main character. He initially coerces them into an abortion, then uses custody threats to hold their child hostage, displaying a complete lack of empathy. The author does acknowledge the toxicity, however, as the manipulative behavior is portrayed without romanticizing it. The tension and distress faced by the main character are palpable, making the story uncomfortable to read.
This Omegaverse twist takes the dominant alpha trope to an extreme, reducing high-ranking Alphas like ML to almost inhuman entities, seen as irresistible forces rather than individuals. The scene where ML loses control during his mating instinct is both amusing and disturbing, as it highlights his ego and disdain for losing control.
In summary, this story does not offer any light or heartwarming moments. The narrative focuses on the protagonist's suffering, and even the positive aspects of ML's actions are shown to be driven more by his own desires than genuine concern for the main character. If a "happily ever after" conclusion comes about, it's likely at a great cost to the main character's well-being. Despite the intense drama and intriguing character development, the ongoing misery is challenging to endure. I'm continuing to read due to its captivating train-wreck-like quality, but it remains uncertain how much longer I can stomach the protagonist's ordeal.
Come on... Please make mc loose sometimes.... What's the fun of reading if mc is always winning against his peers and even some one who is way above his cultivation level... It's no fun to read.... I am holding on hoping for some changes like mc loosing or something new... If u want an op mc... Make him op from the start like saitama... If you want him to raise from weak to strong,.. Then him loosing sometimes will make story better... Let him loose and get some motivation.. What the hell is up with making break through in the last moment all the time?? Once or twice of such last moment break through is enough... All the time and it ruins the story...

Fun novel, the immortal life and seeing the changes in the environment is definitely the best part of it, although it copies a lot of things of other novels, its fun. But the ending is pretty rushed and feels like you were eating a slice of pizza and halfway thorugh it, it fell off. And there's a lot of arriving at the last moment trope btw

This author is mentally ill. The abuse and trauma the female lead constantly endures. She’s constantly raped by every freaking male character even Ye Sichen and author makes her forgive him. Wtf wtf wtf. This author is mentally ill for real is it fun to depict a woman like this? Something is seriously wrong in this authors head. Truly despicable
