i think the author wrote himself into a corner and has no real idea where or how he wants to take the story
although its bad to give star reviews based on translation ill let it pass cause this probably would’ve been dogsh*t either way.
It’s a good novel. Harem potential but keeps it minimal. Has twist to it. Previous life comes haunting him and it’s about fixing the world. I do recommend reading it somewhere else though not all is translated well especially around the 230’s.
…there are people who choose to upload translations they found kind of like webnovel. Except webnovel has people who personally translate. You act as if an illegal site owner just goes through and translates millions of chapters and thousands of stories. No they don’t. You should be grateful that you’re not getting google translations like some other sites do.
This novel is exceptional; it truly deserves a 5-star rating. Although I'm not particularly inclined to write reviews, especially since English isn't my first language, I felt compelled to share my thoughts. If you appreciate a vibrant protagonist who exhibits strength, loyalty, courage, and unwavering self-knowledge, then you'll undoubtedly enjoy this book.
Haha, considering it's already over 900 chapters and still ongoing, who knows if I'll be around in two years! I absolutely adore the world-building; it's incredibly captivating. The main character is calm, handsome, and intelligent - I just can't get enough! The supporting character is playful and overpowered, which I absolutely love – please give me more!
The translation is excellent, but the story is merely average, marred by an unlikable main character. A good translator is evident here, as they proofread their work diligently, unlike those who rely on machine translations without improvement. The plot follows a familiar "hero returns" trope, and while the world-building is satisfactory, it leans heavily towards Japanese-centric lore, making it somewhat lackluster.
Unfortunately, the protagonist's character development falls flat. Despite spending six years in another world, he retains a middle-schooler's mentality, which might be typical for Shonen protagonists. However, one would expect some growth during that time. His thoughts and actions often resemble those of a child, not a mature individual who should have developed further.
His behavior, particularly his tendency to jump to conclusions and act self-importantly, is unbearable. While there's a possibility he might improve later, I've lost interest and doubt it. Perhaps in a manga adaptation, they'll address these issues and redeem the character, but for now, I've decided to move on.
