Love love this book so amazing made me very happy reading this book ???
I don't understand why Weston doesn't come clean to stella about Geneviere and the baby. It's not like she will go around telling everyone but it may help them improve their relationship a bit.
Too many errors in spelling and grammar. The author contradicted herself several times.
Thank you!! Great to get a new update! Things need to be resolved between Quade and Victor because I think that Sydney & Quade won’t be able to fully move forward. Also I really hope that Quade is the father of the pup because they don’t need that problem!!
There's a moment in this text that I can't stop thinking about. The chandelier above the dining table starts flickering. Mo Fei's heart tightens—her first thought is an earthquake. And then Song Yi casually says it's been happening for a while, she'll have her dad fix it tomorrow. That single detail does so much work. The flickering light is a tiny crack in the domestic perfection of that dinner scene. It's the story whispering: something is wrong with the world, even if nobody at this table is ready to say it out loud yet. And Mo Fei, who knows something the others don't, feels that tension in her body before her brain catches up. Then there's the empty storefront beside the restaurant. Pitch black at night, key handed over, the restaurant owner's blunt warning about theft. Mo Fei moving through that darkness with just her phone flashlight, clearing parcels one by one, disappearing from her car seat with a single thought into her space. The imagery is so cinematic. You can see it. The darkness, the phone light, the mountain of boxes, the empty commercial space that becomes her secret arsenal. And Hei City itself—described as cool even as the rest of the country warms up, people towering over Mo Fei at 165cm, the golden black soil that's "the most fertile in the world." The author builds this place through contrast: the warmth of the family dinner versus the cold practicality of the supply run, the domestic intimacy versus the vast agricultural landscape she's heading toward. The hotel lobby scene with Luo Chao is another great visual—the ten-meter-high ceiling, the four-digit room rates, Mo Fei's internal calculation of how many baskets of eggs that could buy. It immediately establishes the class difference between them and sets up whatever dynamic is coming next.

Good nice story
I would have enjoyed this more if the book wasn’t riddled with errors.
