lol, hope you enjoy reading it :)
i think so.
This novel is indeed commendable, but the previous translation was abysmal. Thankfully, Waffles rescued us from that poor quality. Due to the rough Machine Translation (MTL) employed, my mind struggles to process further. As a result, I've decided to pause my reading and wait for the more accurate translations provided by Waffles. Regarding the plot, it revolves around an individual who effortlessly harnesses the powers of all the well-developed characters, creating a seamless fusion without losing their unique identities. The world-building, initially relying heavily on Korean elements and some unconventional structures, becomes less clear in my understanding when translated poorly. Once I've had the chance to read more recent, well-translated chapters, I'll update this review accordingly.
This is an enjoyable read, but it doesn't quite measure up to the quality of "FOD." Comparisons shouldn't be made. Although intriguing, it failed to captivate my interest due to the uneven start with the romance. Initially, the protagonist (ML) often engaged in mature or questionable actions towards the main character (MC), followed by remorseful attempts to make amends. Despite MC's understanding, this imbalance in their interactions left me unsatisfied, especially during the early arcs.
The characters' overpowered nature, with both MC and ML being exceptionally skilled, isn't a criticism for me, as it's reasonable given MC's admiral role. If you're looking for a smooth, low-drama story with minimal complications and a focus on the relationship dynamics between the protagonists, this might be a suitable choice. It's a decent one-time read, but I'm unsure about revisiting it in the future.
One of the most disappointing reads I've encountered – honestly, it's unbearable. Since I didn't review the translation, let's focus on the content. This novel is undeniably the dullest and repetitive one I've picked up. The plot revolves around the protagonist killing someone, which prompts their family to seek revenge. The cycle repeats: enemies appear, the MC eliminates them, rinse, and repeat. There's no character development or engaging encounters; the story lacks substance.
The MC's strength is overused, defeating every opponent effortlessly with a single blow, reducing them to a "red mist" cliche. Even the descriptions become monotonous. The supporting characters, like the female master, are virtually absent, with no growth or meaningful interactions between them.
I don't mind a strong protagonist in action, but this narrative lacks depth and purpose. The antagonists feel shallow, disappearing within chapters as if they were mere obstacles for the MC's one-hit kills. I started hoping for a reunion between the MC and his female master, but even that never materializes. I've reached my limit and cannot endure any more. I'd rather endure any discomfort than endure another chapter of this drivel.
Save yourself the trouble and do not read this.
As an avid reader, I found "Martial World Personal" to be a captivating and immersive tale. The storyline is filled with unexpected twists, keeping me hooked from the very first chapter. The protagonist's journey of self-discovery and martial arts mastery resonated deeply, as I cheered for his relentless determination. The world-building was rich, painting a vivid picture in my mind. While the pace at times was intense, it never failed to deliver a satisfying balance of action and character development. Overall, this novel is a thrilling read that left me wanting more.
