Warning: Spoiler Ahead
I couldn't have been more mistaken. This novel is not suitable for anyone who considers themselves human, at least not beyond the chapter I've reached. The romantic aspects are incredibly disturbing. Bai Weiwei was subjected to a horrific experience by Xu Menggui, one of the main character's personas, involving starvation, torture, and even rape. The way it's portrayed is bizarrely twisted, describing her face as flushed with arousal (as if that justifies the trauma), and the main character seems to somewhat comprehend or justify such obsession – it's unfathomable. The female lead, surprisingly, accepts it with a "what can you do" attitude after supposedly 'provoking' him.
The handling of the entire situation is simply horrifying. Initially, I enjoyed the comedy and the positive aspects, like the FL's acting skills, wealth, beauty, and doting father. However, the revelation that the least appealing character came out on top is utterly nauseating.
For the sake of your well-being, I strongly advise against reading beyond chapters 910-920.
Oh dear, where do I even begin... This story isn't completed yet (obviously, I can't read the raw chapters). From what I gather, the character Eve seems quite clueless. She's shocked when the protagonist spoils her so lavishly, like taking her in a luxurious limousine, despite knowing he's wealthy. Yet, she breaks up with him because he has a job, choosing instead to date a playboy delinquent who doesn't treat her half as well. It's frustrating how she acts surprised by his actions, even though she comes from an overprivileged background. Chapter 7 hinted at this issue, but common sense would tell her that a regular guy couldn't afford such extravagant gestures without deeper pockets. I can only imagine the misery she's about to face, which will serve her right. Meanwhile, the main character Chad is about to embark on a relationship with his new, equally spoiling girlfriend, Rika, completely oblivious to the drama with his ex. I have a feeling the delinquent might try to disrupt their lives with some sneaky tactics, attempting to steal Rika away.
Title: Beware of the "ISEKAI REVENGE" Cliché
It's important not to fall for the premise of many Japanese novels that claim to be revenge stories. Unfortunately, this particular one is guilty of having a subpar plot or character development. Trust me, you'll see why after reading only the first ten chapters.
Imagine coming out of a dungeon and encountering a group. One member suddenly turns hostile despite your peaceful intentions, and you easily overpower them, even choosing to spare them. Then, out of nowhere, they sneakily attack from behind, taunting you. You gain the upper hand and they fear you. Surprisingly, they apologize, claiming it was all a joke with no ill intent. But their body language screams otherwise. They even suggest friendship, which is utterly mocking. How would you react?
Well, our protagonist's response in this story is hilarious - he simply says, "Okay," laughing it off. So, my advice is to steer clear of this novel at once.
A mirrow? ?
