This was my favorite book of the series so far because Brock’s jaded past his relationship unfolding with Astrid was much more developed. Also the storyline brought us past the relationship & into the fight with the shadow pack. I hope after the 6th book CJ continues to write about this universe!
Now that josh has found harper, I hope it works out for them
It's a lovely story and interesting
I was really into the story but the chapters became so short I gave up.
I thought it is a common zombie thing, the story is unique. Kudos to the Author!
Magnus I'm so excited you are back, please don't punish Audrey she's still loves you
The freaking nerve of Cian using Venya as a substitute.
The stakes in this section are quietly escalating and I am ON THE EDGE. Let's talk about what's actually at risk here. Gu Ning is living a lie—she's pretending to be someone else's fiancée, attending a household where her dead lover's mother is sitting across from her. If Jia Xiangwei figures out who Gu Ning really is, everything collapses. But here's the thing: Jia Xiangwei is ALMOST there. She notices the resemblance. She asks about sisters. She's piecing it together and Chi Yan is one step ahead, deflecting, controlling, managing the narrative. The external conflict is obvious—can Gu Ning and Chi Yan successfully treat the son without exposure? But the internal conflict is what's killing me. Gu Ning is torn between her duty to save this boy and the agony of being surrounded by reminders of the man she lost. Every peach petal is a knife. Every kind word from Jia Xiangwei is torture. And Chi Yan? He's playing a dangerous game where one wrong move could expose not just his fake fiancée scheme but whatever deeper agenda he has. The suspense is maintained so well because we know the truth but the characters don't—and every conversation is a minefield.
Finally, it was read to the end.
Interesting storyline. Don't regret spending time reading it.
This book took me by surprise. I love all of this authors books but this one had a different twist and I loved every single moment of it. I will read it over and over and still be fascinated with it. #iloveblade
This is a 'Oh My God' book! So many emotions! Wonderful written!
It really pisses me off when the book is not complete when you start reading. I feel tricked and have also spent money on this book. If i had know this from the start I would not have start reading. I doesn’t work for me wit an update of chapters perhaps once a month. Feels more like a fraud …
