Honestly this is a boring and annoying story. How many times will it for these idiots to understand she’s NOT INTERESTED. No means no for heck’s sake. All these moments of them bumping together, or annoying side characters forcing them to interact is simply put, mega fricking cringe. Don’t waste your time and kill those precious brain cells you’ve got.
Same. That my first novel in 2018.
Well. . plot looks good but not one of the best.
Yet another 'assassin reborn in another world with awesome abilities.' If that isn’t your cup of tea, you might want to skip it. The main character (MC) is a bit of a Mary Sue, but that’s almost expected in this genre.
The MC is quite likable, and she has a supportive group around her, although they haven’t reached a level where they can offer much assistance yet. There’s a mystery surrounding her and her mother, which adds an intriguing layer to the story, along with other ongoing plots.
The male lead is somewhat overbearing and possessive, but he’s not nearly as bad as some other stories. He can be a bit forceful, but I find it less annoying compared to the overly clingy and needy male leads in other works. His attraction to the MC doesn’t seem out of place. She’s just as ruthless as he is and stands out in her own unique way. She has shown off some interesting abilities and doesn’t try to cling to him like every other woman in the world.
The typical annoying and arrogant step-sister and step-mother are present, but they haven’t played a significant role yet.
This is a heartwarming and gentle portrayal of everyday life. The identities of the main characters, Gong and Shou, were cleverly concealed until a pivotal scene, which added an element of intrigue without overshadowing their authentic personalities. The development of the relationship between the protagonist (MC) and the love interest (ML) felt organic, despite the initial mention of the ML having feelings for someone else. However, these emotions did not deter his growth towards the MC. Throughout their journey, they supported and uplifted one another during their uncertain and blossoming period. If you're seeking a low-drama, soothing read with a touch of sweetness, this novel is definitely worth recommending.
