This primarily revolves around a sword with a beast-loving, lo*icon personality that was passed down from Earth. I think the main character (MC) makes a lot of questionable decisions, but that's common for most MCs. Additionally, I feel the author is rushing to increase the number of chapters, possibly due to a lack of substantial plot development.
This literary work is a true treasure. I've been a frequent reader on this platform for quite some time, but I decided to register just to express my appreciation. The story is entertaining, exhilarating, and relatable, with a touch of intrigue that keeps me hooked. It warms the heart, and now that I've reached the end, I can't help but feel a sense of emptiness at its conclusion.
I absolutely adored the connection between the male lead (ML) and the main character (MC). Their relationship was incredibly supportive and mature, with minimal foolishness from either party. The way the ML treated the MC was truly exceptional, and it left me feeling somewhat down about my own prospects. I continued reading primarily due to their dynamic.
While the story's central mysteries were intriguing, they weren't the primary reason I stayed engaged. I must admit, I'm not particularly fond of mysteries, and I never felt the irresistible urge to discover what happened next.
However, I do have a significant concern regarding the portrayal of mental illness in the book. The depiction of multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder) as a motive for violence is not only inaccurate but also potentially harmful. The novel seems to paint all mentally ill individuals as violent criminals, perpetuating a harmful stereotype.
As for the secondary relationships, I despised Gongsun Zhe and Bai Jintang's dynamic. Their initial behavior, involving stalking, manipulation, and guilt-tripping, made it difficult for me to root for them.
It's mtl is readable
Oh yeh it's really good.
The pacing is a bit slow and it takes a long time for every ark to build up but the story line is good and characters are amazing; there are just some sections of the story that one feels so connected to each one of them. The MC is totally over powered and things are usually solved easily but the mystery is prominent and the real danger is always lurking in the shadows and horror is amazing.
You've prob finished this but it's good, the sequel isn't as good IMO, authors other works are really good aswell
Why the Spoiler tag Though?
Write this in your review. Your comment is very good
"Death March is an incredibly compelling story, despite not being universally loved. In my opinion, it stands out as one of the best light novels here (though that's subjective). Those who find it boring or lacking character growth haven't finished the series, I believe. Everyone has their own perspective. All in all, I think it's fantastic (just kidding about the haters)."
Please note that the original text had some informal language and abbreviations, so I've rephrased it to maintain a more formal tone while preserving the intended meaning.
