I have to admit, I was skeptical about the pacing here. Usually when a novel starts with a death scene and then immediately teleports into a system space, it feels rushed or sloppy. But this? This actually worked. The chapter moves at a breakneck pace but never feels confusing. Let me break it down: we start with the death—intense, emotional, visceral. Then the rebirth—quick, disorienting, but clear enough. Then the system explanation—concise, not info-dumpy. Then the father's medical emergency—immediate action that raises stakes. Then the space exploration—worldbuilding that feels earned because she's actively using it. The chapter ends with her realizing she has two months to prepare, which is basically a perfect hook. Every scene transitions smoothly into the next, and the author never lingers too long on any one moment. The only thing I'd say is that the system explanation part felt slightly rushed—like, ten warehouse doors and a farm and a lake and a villa all introduced in a few paragraphs—but honestly, I don't mind. It gives me enough to be curious without overwhelming me. The pacing is aggressive but controlled, and I immediately wanted to read Chapter 2.
