Good story, but it ended too abruptly with a cliffhanger and too many unanswered questions

So, i like the story and where this is going, but remove the indian monarch. It can pretty much make the wifey balance go downhill bc she's a royal. I had been vibing till she came in the picture- so it would not be bad if in the next 1-3 chapters she would die... you know, for character development too, and you could push the mc's way of conquering with a great justification right?
Two chapters in and I'm already hooked. The concept feels familiar yet unique, especially the concept of Dulls and Defenders.I definitely recommend everyone to read it, you will not be disappointed.

Is it me or is chapter 3 similar to the beginning of The Desolate Era? It quite literally has the same words but different meaning like "perception" and "spiritual sense". Did the author take inspiration from Desolate Era????
