Friendly review here XDBut on a serious note, while it seems to be a typical time travel + wish-fulfillment story of somebody who wants to be a top star, writing is good and will not make you bored. Enjoy the ride coz it will be fun, amusing, and addictive.
nice story and one of the best sports novels untill the lost in the finals of champions leugue to barca around chaper 600. some would say it made the story less predictable that they lost but honestly it just killed the mood of the whole story for me, and a few chapters later we skip 3 years where they lose again in the finals to madrid the year after before winning 2 in a row. that for me was comepletely felt like a big whatever from the authors side. all that building for 600+ chapters to then go oh you lose, and then skip 3 years because you know nothing matters other than winning the finals felt so empty. if the author did not have a plan of writing more of serie a why end it on a loss to then skip 3 years with a loss followed by 2 wins in the finals. classic cartoon/anime sport cliche -_-
The writing is so blah. There is no feeling, no emotion at all. Feels like a fleshed out outline. You can read this but don’t expect much.
I find the world to be great and many characters are great but i had to stop about chp 120. our MC is told how weak he is and almost dies multiple times before, yet he took the risk to fight knights he just saw fight very well. even after he thinks that old knight that trained his dad is a bad dude he walks right up to them and ask them , the dragon told him many times to not get in any dumb things until hes stronger.To me the MC is odd, we are told he likes to read and study at the start of the story, yet he seems dumb. after meeting granny he should had know he is not close to being that strong
Reviewing this book at 50 chapters and may change later if things change. 1- This author seems to be a master at taking what should be a couple sentences, and rewording it over and over again until it becomes a few paragraphs. Definitely a word count fluffer so far. 2- over use of the word genius, despite misspellings and grammatical errors. It’s hard to really view the MC as a genius, when the word is thrown around for almost every side character as well, and everyone they’re gonna fight. 3- thesaurus crazy. This novel is supposed to be centered around a couple 13 year olds, and a 15 year old. But when you read what the kids are saying, it’s filled with high dollar words left and right like an attempt at writing a doctoral thesis, but these are supposed to be basically kids. Its insanely unrealistic and annoying that the author can’t separate that. The novel being wrote like that is fine, but the characters will never be something we can attach to if they have the same bland tone of overused and several times wrongly used 4 syllable words. 4- simple over explanation. The author took almost half a chapter to explain the idea behind what’s essentially the 1 inch punch. Then immediately followed that with a summarized version, it’s already annoying, and repeating the same explanation multiple ways already has me skipping paragraphs, which isn’t a good thing when the goal is to get people sucked into the novel
When are there updates? 14 chapters to this date 26/8/2024 Really want to read it, but not is you are not going to finish it…..
