It's an enjoyable read, far superior to many other game-inspired novels. The characters are well-developed and the battle scenes are exhilarating. On top of that, it has a heartwarming and endearing charm.
The novel is actually quite excellent, but the character Chu De really needs to tone it down. He's incredibly annoying, always fixated on the main character (ML) like a possessive shadow. I understand he wants to be supportive, but it would be nice if he allowed the ML to face their challenges independently.
A spoiler ahead:
One of the saddest parts of the story is when she's buried alive. Her companions prioritized saving the ML over her, which led to her believing they abandoned her. It's such a heartbreaking moment. ?
Funny and interesting plot at the beginning but gets irritating afterwards. Author tries too hard to portray MC as a genius and clueless/naive individual. It gets annoying over time.
