My poison taste test: I enjoyed this novel a lot until the early 300s, then the fighting scenes got really bad. I felt myself disconnecting while reading it. I got to 371 but will probably put this novel down for a while I just can't force myself to finish rn. It's not a bad novel by any means and I would recommend it, I just got burnt out and disconnected too much. I lost the emotional attachment to the characters.
wow...u guys r giving such rational comments...i would never have believed i didn't saw for myself...i will add it to library for now.
The entire narrative was truly horrifying. The way the protagonist treated the omega was dehumanizing – it wasn't love, but an obsessive compulsion. I've come across numerous accounts of the antagonist mistreating their spouse in other stories, but some actions simply cannot be excused.rape is one such unforgivable act. Regardless of the seme's actions, they could inflict immense pain, and I hold rapists in utter contempt. Thus, the ending of this novel fell utterly flat for me. The author attempted a redemption plot that failed miserably, following a heinous rape committed by the seme. The omega then fearfully vowed, under duress, that if the alpha marked them, they would remove their own glands. This involved threats, coercion, and forced intimacy, all against the omega's will. It was a deeply disappointing conclusion.
I am currently engaged in translating the novel, but I decided to create an account to share my thoughts. It's a genuinely entertaining read, particularly for those who enjoy horror without the jump scares. There's certainly a fair amount of gore and brutality, but it's more for shock value rather than actual fear factor. The romance between the main characters is heartwarming, and the protagonist grows endearing as the story unfolds. The male lead, while possessive and somewhat obsessive (like the typical Gong character), genuinely cares for the MC's happiness and guards their relationship jealously.
In the early arcs, each world they explore is unique and intriguing, though there's no explicit content, which might disappoint some. However, I encountered a minor issue around chapter 128, where the lunatic asylum arc had a scene that made me uncomfortable. The description of a black inmate seemed to focus too much on his race, which felt unnecessary and potentially offensive. It's unclear if it was a portrayal of obsession or a subtle racial stereotype.
Despite that, overall, the story is excellent, and their relationship is delightful. The translation process can make it challenging to grasp every detail, and the ending was somewhat confusing due to the complexity of the plot involving reincarnation and divine punishment. It's not entirely clear whether the Lord God is inherently evil or the MC's alter ego. But the love story between the ML and MC, with their long history, adds a charming touch.
In conclusion, this novel is an enjoyable and easily translatable read, despite its occasional bumps. I look forward to finishing the review and recommending it to others.
Even better if there's yuri. Like a wise man once said: "Yuri is the purest form of love"
Doaist overlord! Turning off the brain technique I see.
Any male lead who can say in all seriousness, "I'm perfect, and my wife the Queen doesn't have to be perfect" is amazing. I love it when a character owns their arrogance.
"Rebith of the godley prodigal" seria esse o nome em inglês ou algo assim
It stays the same quality it's annoying but if you've come this far u have to stay for the arc at 1600
I mean I like it, pretty decent. If you like strong female leads and cultivation ish novels, it's a pretty decent read. Has a bit of reverse harem going on and some bits of romance here and there.
