I strongly suggest this book. The political and world-building aspects are exceptionally well-developed. Although the initial 50-70 chapters might contain a substantial information dump, which isn't directly crucial to the plot, it serves as an informative introduction, providing a clear picture. Once you overlook that part, the story becomes highly entertaining.
I appreciate this novel for its raw and shrewd protagonist. My main concern is that either the story arcs are excessively lengthy or the chapters are quite brief; currently, we're around chapter 120 and still in the second arc. If you approach the story with a strict moral or righteous perspective, you may find the main character's actions controversial. However, if you view it as a tale of revenge, it provides a satisfying reading experience.
For anyone like me who is not reading this because of low chapters it's got like 3chapter for lke every 1.1 to 1.3 or more so yeah it got like a 1000 chapter already. F*ck for the useless wait and I'm felling dumb for not noticeing it before ???

Update: went to check the tag for any harem, thankfully there's not, though there is a romance subplot. Accidentally found the adapted to manhua, "oh no," i thought, went to check. "Yup, it's that one." It's the manhua I'm talking about previously (i think it's called Black Tech system or something). Decided to stay reading as bad adaptation also happened to lotm, so i don't judge too soon(I'm coping here). That adaptation is insane, the system has a girl avatar(there aren't any in the novel), and you guessed it, skimpy outfit. Just barely ch1 and I quit.

I would rate this novel 4.5 stars. Although it could have benefited from addressing some issues related to the era's morals, it provided a pleasant reading experience. The female lead (FL) and male lead (ML) possess a carefree attitude, but it contrasts with their concern for their grandmother, reflecting traditional values. The characters' powers feel somewhat unfair, not due to their efforts, but due to their predetermined fates. They endure hardships mainly due to their family's reputation and safety.
The monk at the start annoyed me with his self-righteousness, and I wished for more of his presence later in the story. The FL and ML's affectionate moments were peculiar, as they referred to each other as siblings without realizing their underlying romantic feelings, creating sexual tension. The antagonist, portrayed as an obnoxious character, was relentless and difficult to root for, despite her unlucky birth. By the end, it was clear her misfortune stemmed from her wicked nature, leaving me unsympathetic.
Lin Shi was consistently disappointing, even though I had low expectations. Yu Si Yu's character development was a highlight, causing me to pause in laughter when she attempted to drown Yu Miao Qi. Despite some flaws, I thoroughly enjoyed the novel and found myself looking forward to each chapter.
