Mind is blown…. I can’t list to this book with get aroused. 7 Greek Godly Sins… this is a book that’s hard to put down if you’re into the mafia and mind blowing sex.
I know it’s just a book, but I can not help thinking what was on this authors mind at that time. It’s worth the read
The storyline bears a resemblance to the popular webcomic "Kiss Me, Liar," where a contentious alpha boss and a secretive omega secretary with exceptional skills have a one-night stand that leads to a romantic connection. The naming convention, with the Western term 'alpha' and the Eastern 'omega,' creates a similar dynamic. Both the novel and the webcomic's premise start with the alpha protagonist's quest to locate and 'eliminate' ('kill' in the novel, 'devour' in the webcomic) the enigmatic omega after an intense encounter driven by hormones. However, the military aspect sets this adaptation apart from the original source. It's unclear whether this similarity is coincidental or one work has influenced the other.
When I began reading, I had high expectations due to the novel's excellent ratings. However, upon finishing, I found myself disappointed, especially after reading some 3-4 star reviews that resonated with my experience. I would rate it 3 stars myself. My critique echoes many of the points mentioned by others.
The plot felt lackluster, and I felt the story could have been shorter. My interest waned quite early on. The male lead, while seemingly perfect, failed to connect with the main character (MC) in a relatable way, making their relationship appear shallow. I struggled to identify any redeeming qualities in the MC's character development, which was underwhelming.
As I progressed, my emotions ranged from frustration to anger, even over minor details. For instance, I took issue with the ML attributing his high fever to drinking hot water – it seemed implausible, even as a joke. Reflecting on these moments now, I am still annoyed by the memory.
BCY's character, who I was hoping to see more of, barely featured in terms of teaching or personal growth. There were some positive aspects, but overall, my review leans heavily towards subjectivity and bias.
In conclusion, this review is primarily a reflection of my personal experience, and I recognize it might not be an objective assessment. While the book wasn't terrible, I advise readers to explore additional reviews for a more balanced perspective.
To anyone considering reading this, know that the actual character development occurs at chapters near 325
