Honestly, it's a pretty good read and it's really erotic at times.
Do not read this book until it says it is completed. it starts off a great book, amazing storyline. However when I got caught up on the completed chapters, it was very frustrating because they were not frequent and were only a couple pf paragraphs. it's been probably a month maybe more. Don't read

I have to genuinely applaud whoever structured these chapters because the tonal whiplash is real and I'm here for it. You start with Lin Yi making crème caramel in what feels like a cozy cooking livestream — steam rising, milk and eggs, twenty minutes of waiting, chat comments about how handsome he is. It's chill. It's domestic. It's basically a slice-of-life comfort read. And then — BAM — Director Lu Xing reposts the video and suddenly Lin Yi's being courted for a big-budget action movie. The transition from "look at this cute dessert being made" to "galaxy-renowned director wants you to act in his film" happens so fast I almost needed to re-read it. But here's the thing: it doesn't feel random. The author planted the seed earlier by showing Lin Yi hunting mutant beasts, and now the director saw THAT video. So the pivot makes logical sense even if it's dramatically jarring. Then just when you're processing the whole acting career thing, Lin Yi gets refused and we cut to... a thief trying to steal his vegetables. The chapter breaks are doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Each one lands on a mini-climax — the livestream ends with viewers demanding the recipe, the director's invitation drops like a plot bomb, the stealing scene ends with Lin Yi revealing he was watching the whole time. The only slight drag I'd point out is the Star Network aftermath — the comments, the negative reactions, Director Lu's response. It's necessary for world-building but it does slow the momentum a tiny bit before the farming scene picks things back up. Overall though, the author clearly knows how to keep you turning pages. Every section ends with something that makes you want to read the next one.
