It eventually slows down and lets them breath, but it's been ages since I read it so I couldn't tell you when. At this point basically all I remember is it being funny in the first half, and then just a good xianxia in the second.
At one point I had a proper review here, but it was lost in the great reset.
I had high hopes after enjoying Who Cares? However, I found the plot hard to believe and ultimately decided to stop reading. The fact that the crown princess's babies, attended by numerous caretakers, could have foreign objects in their noses without anyone noticing, including those whose lives would depend on the babies' safety, stretched my suspension of disbelief too far. When the main character (MC) simply pointed out the issue, it became too much for me.
Additionally, the portrayal of a horsewhip, combined with sexual descriptions of MC's prepubescent body from her brother's perspective, created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The持续性的兄妹间性骚扰 as she grew older also disturbed me. Unfortunately, there weren't any comedic elements throughout my reading. If the story were a dark, twisted romance, it might have been more appealing, but as it stands, I found it immature, unengaging, and not worth my time. Despite my initial attempt to finish, I couldn't continue past that point and decided to abandon the book.
The character Cheng Yu (ML) is quite heartbreaking, and each chapter tugs at my emotions, making me want to cry. Despite the fluffy and sweet interactions, there's a lingering sense of sadness, especially during the flashback where Cheng Yu reminisces about being overlooked by Lin An Lan.
Cheng Yu, my dear, you're amazing and deserve all the love and kindness. Don't be so humble and pessimistic; it breaks my heart. However, the revelation that Lin An Lan discovers Cheng Yu isn't his boyfriend wasn't entirely unexpected, but it still hits hard, especially when seeing Cheng Yu's despair.
The plot resolves rather swiftly, which might be due to the protagonist's strong moral compass and rational thinking, allowing them to address issues efficiently. ML is truly commendable; he has loved Cheng Yu for eight years and treats them gently, always telling the truth and defending Jiang Xu, even when it's difficult.
During Cheng Yu's amnesia, ML is considerate and caring, avoiding actions that could upset Cheng Yu. The love between them grows, but it's not Stockholm Syndrome – it's genuine. It's refreshing to see a character like Cheng Yu with a balanced perspective and positive outlook.
ML experiences jealousy, envy, and sadness when Cheng Yu distances themselves, but he never places blame. His emotional intelligence and intellect are impressive. Even though he knows Cheng Yu's heart belongs to Jiang Xu, he never pushes or harasses, respecting their bond.
The biggest mistake ML makes is lying about their relationship, but his intentions are pure. If Cheng Yu didn't allow it, he wouldn't pursue physical contact. Yet, he remains understanding and stays friends, keeping his distance. When everything is resolved, and they become official, the sweetness returns with a happier and cuter ML.
The story then focuses on their love story, with family dynamics and conflicts being resolved easily. Here's a summary of the key parts:
1. Fluffy and tender moments, with ML's hidden distress.
2. A heartwarming truth revealed and resolved, followed by temporary separation and ML's struggle.
3. More fluff and sweetness, including the happiest moments with ML.
Overall, the story is a delightful read, with the exception of the truth's reveal. I highly recommend it.

The author's deft storytelling and vivid world-building make for a compelling read, though the on-hold status hints at an epic journey yet to unfold. I eagerly await its continuation.
Anyone have any good necromancer novel recommendations where the MC actually has a good sized army and not just a few powerful undead and a hundred cr*p ones? Also any good fantasy kingdom building recommendations would be appreciated.

First of all, it's just one review, and secondly, why not? Hopefully you realize that not only men read light novels. Harems for men are ok, but reverse harems for women are not?
