The story's good and all but I sometimes have a hard time envisioning the scenes. One of the main points of writing is imagery. If anything, it's the author's only problem. At some point in the story, I realized you can't handle making your readers feel the tension of a certain scene. I suggest being more descriptive, not too much as that'll be a bit creepy considering this is a first-person point of view.

Acting really shouldn't be a problem for him. Not to mention get into the industry which involves deceit and schemes.Hope you don't drop it~

His parents, his sister—they're all throwing a welcome dinner for Yu Qingyu, and he is explicitly excluded. 'Your Aunt Kexin invited us to dinner, not you.' This isn't accidental oversight; it's a deliberate statement. The family has judged him, found him wanting, and chosen her side. Even the servant notices and makes him chrysanthemum tea like she knows he's suffering. Everyone sees it except him—or maybe especially him. But the deepest conflict is internal. Huo Zhili knows he made a mistake. He's been flying to the US every June to watch her birthday from afar, which means he's been carrying this guilt across oceans for three years. He could have fought for her. He could have done something different. And now she's back, she's successful, she's happy without him, and his only option is to stand in a courtyard and smoke while his family drives away. The conference room scene earlier in the passage mirrors this perfectly. The department manager makes a mistake, everyone holds their breath, and Huo Zhili responds with just four words. He's not angry—he's numb. And that's the real tragedy. The stakes aren't just about losing her; they're about becoming someone who can't even feel the loss anymore.
I couldn't stop reading this book.
