Author please more chapters about Rose and Ethan please im begging you... hahaha the story about them is so good! They should start creating happy moments now that Ethan has confessed his feelings... he should work so hard to win Rose back.

must read I'm only on chapter 232 and it has been an emotional ride for me. The characters are well thought out and the story definitely keeps you captivated and wondering what's around the corner. really enjoying the read
Can we talk about how every character sounds completely different? Liu Jin—the 'kind old physician'—has this veneer of warmth that completely drops once he's alone with his men. His line 'Little girl, why are you here?' sounds almost gentle at first, but the narration tells us his expression is 'very twisted.' The dialogue does the work of showing his duality without needing exposition. Then there's Liu Laosi, the burly bandit: 'Kill her? Or sell her?' Three words. Brutal. Casual. He's not even angry about it—he's making a business decision. That's how normalized violence is in this world. And Lu Dantao's internal monologue is where the humor lives. 'Run, damn legs, run!' and 'I know you're hiding in the room, come out and save me! Help!'—she's panicking but still operating on TV drama logic. The author uses her dialogue to show how disconnected she is from reality, which makes her eventual realization even more devastating. Xue Yao doesn't speak a single word in this entire chapter. He's on the roof beam the whole time, just watching. And that silence is louder than any dialogue could be. The author lets his absence of speech speak for itself—he's calculating, detached, already three steps ahead while everyone else is reacting in the moment.
