This is the last random update. I'm going to try my best to update every Friday or Saturday. Have a good day/night.
"With the two of us, there's a chance of beating the monster instead of being cut down while fleeing!"
When I first started reading I was a bit sceptical about the story due to the summary not showing much about what the novel will be about but I'm glad I read and what I read so far is hilarious to the point I laugh at every chapter and it just keeps getting better.
Slowly the test was being conducted one after one placed their hands and left finally it was turn for the four of them.
''Let's go '' Shen also disappeared.
“Tian, you’re finally awake.”
The pacing in these chapters is actually really smart. It starts slow — bureaucratic deliberations at the Ministry of Works, tea with her mother, a quiet morning rest day. Then it builds. The teahouse scene with Meng Ting gives us exposition about Prince Zhao's military campaign without it feeling like a history lecture, because it's framed as a storyteller's tale and cousinly conversation. And then BOOM — the triumphant return scene, thousands of people, imperial guards, the whole spectacle. The transition from the intimate (Qinlan Courtyard, Leyou Courtyard, the teahouse) to the public (Vermilion Bird Street, the city gate, Taiji Hall) mirrors Gu Ningxi's own movement from private life to the center of political drama. She goes from a low-ranking official standing in line to being physically present at the banquet where the fate of the empire might be discussed. The chapter ends on that note about the Eastern Palace's grim expressions — perfect cliffhanger energy without being cheap about it.
its pretty good definitely above average but since its only 7 chapters right now ill keep my eyes peeled cant wait for lilly to get dominated by that noble though if you know what i mean ? and to finally embraced who she is
