With every new version , the book is more refined with details. The author deserves appreciation for putting in efforts to bring out best of this book everytime. A must read in dark romance.

Okay, I need to talk about Dou Dou because this part genuinely made my chest ache. This poor cat—just an ordinary calico from Interstellar Blue Star, IQ of a toddler at best—suddenly dropped into a completely alien world where he can't even eat properly. Raw meat makes him sick. No cat food, no litter box, no dried fish. Just... nothing. And yet what breaks me is the image of him squatting on that stone platform, basking in the sun, watching other kittens play below. His paws itching to join them but he's too weak and the platform is too high. He can only gaze with envy. That's not just physical suffering—that's existential loneliness for a creature who only knows one world. But then he sees Zhou Zhou coming back and his whole face lights up. "Meow! Zhou Zhou! Mother!" He jumps up excitedly. This cat who's been terrified in that dim cave alone, who forced himself out just to see his own kind, who's been suffering physically and mentally... his entire world is just seeing his human return. And Ah Yue? She kisses him, calls him good, tells him to play with his brother. She doesn't understand his words but she understands his need. That maternal instinct crossing species lines—"Be good, play here with your brother. Mother has to go get busy, okay?"—it's so tender. Then Dou Dou immediately follows up with "Zhou Zhou, I'm so hungry! I want some dried fish." Of course he does. Even after all that emotional vulnerability, he's still just a cat who wants snacks. That contrast is everything. I'm not crying, you're crying.
The story is very hard to swallow. There are a lot of inconsistencies and the characters do not behave the way that makes sense for them.
