Simply quality! This is an, in my opinion, extremely well done books with the perfect mix of Action and intrigue. While people who dont know buddhism lose some of the meaning of the philosophizing in the book. Due to its tie in cultivation and growth of power it's still enthralling. The mc is absolute garbage he is average of the average so much so it's painful to read. Nothing remarkable nothing special nothing note worthy. Picture a day in the life of an average guy that's all this is but somehow this average person just gets lucky and hasn't died. He gets pushed around alot and smacked regularly he's pretty much a joke at best. Also the cultivation is just trash as well consume pills that's pretty much it. He has no set path and is just a random assortment of broken things he finds laying around sigh. It's just one big mess.
Honestly not as bad as the garbage title and summary would make you expect. At least it doesnt read as I have now infinity plus 2 damage but let me trade for infinity squared damage etc. the MC is the MC , just that no individual qualities. He has no talent but ya know doesnt matter. It was basically shoehorned in so that youd root for an underdog type of thing but no payoff and no actual setup or struggle to overcome.Could be a good mindless read cause I actually am a little curious as to the other world trading works. That part is at least a bit intriguing. But the actual survival hunting story is your typical. Oh wow super mc doing super stuff. Some randos randomly hate on him for not beleiving he’s actually that good. And everyone else is 2 dimensional. So yeah good for a mindless read
Okay so I need to talk about this confrontation scene because honestly it was the kind of moment I was waiting for chapters to build toward. Jiang Yuanyuan finally standing up to her family—after being bullied and exploited for so long—and just shutting the door on them? Chef's kiss. The whole setup was brilliant: Granny Yu pretending to be concerned, asking if Yuanyuan had been wronged, and then Yuanyuan immediately calling out the exact debts. I love how the author made the grandmother think she was still in control with her performance of "I'll fight with these old bones to seek justice!" only to have Yuanyuan completely flip the script. And then Chu Jing just casually kicking Uncle Jiang a full zhang away—like, bro really treated that like nothing. The plot pacing here was perfect too. You had the family storming over, the fake grandmother act, the demand for stolen goods, the physical confrontation, and then the satisfying shutdown. All in one scene. No filler. And the chapter title "Taking My Money to Buy a Man" is such a sharp commentary on how the whole village sees this arrangement—as a financial transaction rather than genuine companionship. The author really understands how to build toward a payoff moment and deliver it cleanly.
It start slow, but that small ember turned into a roaring inferno as the author show how good cultivator stories could be when done right. Too bad there's no updates or my score would be a 5.

In additionally, there are clear boundaries of what the main character can and cannot do, which is needed to be mention because of certain novels out their. The main character is not all about face slapping, neither do they show off extremely crazily, at least from the chapters released. No nationalism or racism as of yet.
Translator had a stroke after chapter 40 and couldn't english anymore. This novel had potential but the mtl ruined it. Don't waste your time.
