While I understand the survival instinct during an apocalypse, his priorities shift from genuinely assisting his love interest (or crush) in regaining her mental stability to solely seeking personal gain and control.
His unique power holds potential to aid in reclaiming the world, but he consistently puts himself first, which becomes frustrating over time. He even encounters another woman who he claims to want to 'help,' yet her retained lucidity hinders his control. Instead of seeing this as a positive attribute, he perceives it as a hindrance.
Initially, the character seemed more balanced, but now his arrogance and self-importance are excessive. I find myself wishing for a moment of reality check, like a wake-up call, to humble him.
