The plot is intriguing!
Cant wait for next chapters
Waiting for book 2 plz
Great read until the last chapter. The ending was extremely disappointing!!
I so much love this book..it deserves all the stars....
Interesting premise, poor execution.
I usually don't have issues with slow-paced slice-of-life novels with minimal conflict. However, this one became increasingly dull as I progressed through it.
My issues:
- Primarily, the poor translation. It reads like a machine translation, and the quality deteriorates with each chapter. At times, even basic punctuation like quotation marks for dialogue is missing.
- The story squanders its potential. It often remains superficial, and characters come across as flat and one-dimensional.
- The main character (MC) lacks depth. Her status as a "transmigrator" feels like a convenient plot device to justify her unique abilities. There's no exploration of her inner conflicts or adjustment to life in the 1970s, which should be a significant challenge but is glossed over in a few paragraphs.
- The male lead (ML) starts off okay but quickly becomes cliché. He seems to be another character who "wants to protect the little lotus." His development is weak, making him appear shallow and opportunistic, treating his wife better only because of her virginity.
- The interactions between the ML and MC are lackluster. There's no real chemistry beyond their perceived perfection in the eyes of the village.
This novel has squandered its potential. There should be more substance to the story, but it fails to maintain my interest or make me eager to see what happens next.
Surviving as a Like Comment on Lightnovelpub.
The author's novels are like that... The Epic of Caterpillar is similarly slow at first but picks up pace and then we get long fight chapters and even s** scenes.
I've heard of this novel on reddit and a few insta comments. How is it? Is it really slice of life or normal cultivation novel? If it's a chill novel with occasional young masters coming and irritating MC, I'm fine with that. Can anyone give a decent review?
Also, novels with similar premise as mentioned above? Don't mention gourmet of another world, black tech internet cafe, pet king, stay at home restaurant, solo farming tower. I've read those, as much as I could tolerate ?
this is the best cultivation novel I have ever read, i read it more than 3 times. so can anybody recommend something similar to this for me please? cultivation novels that don't have harem n focus on the grow n adventure.
Lmao true, but it's possible though. It can happen when one has no experience in romance, one is just too focused on one thing that they don't really care about romance, or they have very low self-esteem. There are still many reasons as to why that can happen, but those are the most common reasons why ppl are dense af while being clever at the same time.
I don't remember if I read this or not... Meh gonna read till I find parts that I feel like I read before
