Okay so I need to talk about this whole time-travel baby situation because it is genuinely one of the most interesting character dynamics I've seen in a while. Meng Shuhe just finds out she's pregnant with a child who claims to be from fifteen years in the future, and instead of completely losing it, she starts having actual conversations with her own unborn son. The way she tests reality by pinching herself—"It hurt. She wasn't dreaming"—that's such a small detail but it grounds the whole absurd premise. What's fascinating is how quickly their relationship shifts. Lu Xiu isn't just some random spirit; he's anxious, protective, almost desperate. He keeps saying "Mother, hurry up and escape" and "I don't want this father anymore." There's this underlying tragedy here—a child who remembers being punished, kneeling in the rain, and now he's trapped inside his mother's womb with no physical way to help. The power dynamic is completely inverted. She's the one with agency, but he's the one with foreknowledge. And then there's Meng Shuhe's reaction to learning Lu Jing is actually the Crown Prince. Her entire worldview shifts in real time. She goes from seeing him as a scholar mooching off her family to realizing he's been playing a role this whole time. The text says "The dignified Crown Prince was actually pretending to be a poor scholar to get free food and lodging at her manor?" and I literally laughed out loud. That's the kind of detail that makes you see the world differently. The relationship with Shen Qian is another layer entirely. Three years of marriage, he never touched her, never even entered her room, and now he's marrying the fake daughter while discarding the real one. When Meng Shuhe confronts him, her brother Meng Wang actually sides with the Shen family. That betrayal cuts deep because it's not just her husband failing her—it's her own blood.
Starting this review, I have to say that the premise of the story is very interesting and fairly original so kudos to you!Overall Rating 3⭐:Good read. You may want to wait until there are more chapters. Rating: World background 3⭐: What you expect is what you get. The world the MC transmigrates to is a hentai-dating-sim whith heavy emphasis on Martial Arts, where if you if you are not perfect to a girl...well NTR is in the title. Character design3⭐: Not much to be said really, most characters in genuine dating sims come off as stale and one-dimensional so expectations are kinda low. As for the MC...The concept is not necessarily bad. Reading about a weak-willed individual finding his way and tackling his problems in such an absurd scenario could be enthralling, but due to how the story is written in first person the MC comes across like a dumb crybaby, especially in the latest "Do you have a dream?" arc. Seriously it's like he can't think for himself at all. Story development 4⭐: The story is captivating with mysteries,twists and heavy emotions thrown into the mix. It may be a bit of a mess at the beginning with moral and logical inconsistencies but I find it mirrors the MC's **yche so it's okay. What is not okay though is the lack of interaction between the MC and the netorare girl. Chapter 47 is my favourite so far mainly due to how the phonecall plays out, so you can understand how lackluster I find the interactions with the previous girl. Writing 4 ⭐: The story can be read properly despite being written here, full marks....that is what I would have said, but I have to say that the story would be better with permanent 3rd person pov. Updating stability 1⭐: Not much to say really. Look at the chapter content dates and judge yourself.

Can we just talk about how atmospheric this whole refugee convoy setting is? The author doesn't go overboard with description but every detail lands. I keep coming back to the campfire scenes — there's something almost cinematic about how the light plays across faces, how shadows move, how people huddle around these small fires in the dark. The image of Han Laoer with his face half-illuminated by the campfire, bruised and swollen, muttering about the Mei family being barbaric — it's such a vivid, almost cinematic shot. You can practically see the flickering orange light casting long shadows. And then there's the contrast: the Mei family's campfire where Mei Qian is cooking wild vegetable and bird egg soup, the warmth of family dynamics even in harsh conditions, versus the Han family's campfire where they're scheming and arguing. The worldbuilding here is all about survival — not just physical survival but social survival. People digging for wild vegetables, getting into disputes over the same plants, the Blacksmith Yang family breaking flatbread and giving the largest piece to the father while the mother takes the smallest. These tiny domestic moments in the midst of chaos make the world feel incredibly real. The refugee convoy isn't just a backdrop; it's a character itself. Everyone is suspended between worlds — they've left their homes but haven't found safety. The mention of Mingcheng territory as this promised land three days away gives the whole thing a sense of movement and desperation. It's a world where a single grain of rice can determine who lives and who dies, and that's what makes every interaction so charged.
I read this long ago back then I didn't leave reviews but I saw it again and thought I should.I recommend this novel which is a time transverse with a system and alot of montage.
Fun story, but annoying main character. Most of the time I want to Gibbs-smack him. Especially when he talk to himself.
