Great world building and character development. Although some parts are hurried like the Criminal District "arc" and a lot of things are missed such as the part where MC joins the Long Gang, it's still a great story nonetheless.
The power system "Qi", although is not unique, is still comprehensive and interesting. I love the paths part ("wind-path", etc...) because it makes the story fun to read and adds in unpredictable elements. It leaves a lot of room and leeway in the future for the author to introduce bizarre and fun paths.
The character Ximen Wei is a bit conservative but he is smart and takes risks when his life is put ont he life. I love how the feelings of loneliness and despair are amplified in this novel because such emotions are not stressed enough in the other counterparts, when someone finds himself in an alternate world, the feelings of nostalgia and homesickness will certainly overwhelm his mind, which is exactly what happened in Space Mage.
Overall, this is a great novel and I'm looking forward for future updates.

I really hate speaking about the plot as I believe everyone should try it themselves. Despite that, solidly written cliches and relatively standard openings allows me to peer into what possibly this novel have in store.
Execution of the further plot is what I'm actually curious about, as I have a feeling that it will exceed my expectations on this one.
In the end, I cannot really say much about the story. It's a solid piece of the literature that promises a tasty piece of webnovel down the line.

The words are easy to interpret, concise, and help the readers to grasp the settings of each scene without having to think too much. The information feedback is just as smooth with little fillers, especially when the characters are mentioned with little snippets of their past, present, and their expectations for the future. This is slowly building a web of information and connections, but if one isn’t careful enough and is simply reading for the sake of skimming through, it’s easy to be lost in the storytelling down the line.
Ok I’m only on chapter 12, but this is absolutely beautifully written, im actually have trouble believing this is an original on webnovel as this could genuinely be a full fledged book
