The story is so interesting and makes you wonder how it will end
This story is interesting and makes me want to know what will happen next. Yes, it has lot of dark sides, but it is understandable since this book is a dark romance.
Okay so this chapter had me absolutely losing it over the box mix-up. Let me just say — the author really went there. Lady Li sends Xiahou Jin a wooden box containing his old sword, and Sinan is convinced it's her portrait in women's clothing. She goes full ninja mode, sneaks into the Third Prince's residence at midnight, and opens the box to find... nothing but a rusted short sword. Her portrait was never in the box. Her mother didn't mix them up. The boxes are literally identical because Lady Li bought them from the same craftsman. I cannot stop thinking about this. The tension here is chef's kiss. Sinan risked everything — her identity, her safety, possibly her life — to steal back a box she thought contained proof of her secret. And it was all for nothing? Or was it? Because now Xiahou Jin has the box with HIS sword, and Sinan has nothing. The irony is absolutely delicious. Also, can we talk about how Lady Li orchestrated this whole thing? She practically shoved Sinan into Xiahou Jin's carriage, invited him inside, sent the maid with the box at the perfect moment, and then casually went to bed like she wasn't running a matchmaking operation. This woman is a menace and I love her. The plot threading here is tight. Every action has a consequence, and the author keeps raising the stakes without letting up. Sinan's identity is a ticking time bomb and every chapter makes it more dangerous.

Not a bad book. Great storyline, but the book needs some editing to fix the grammatical errors and use of wrong character names at times. Wonderful ending.
