loved this book. looking forward to the continuation of the story
Love it! Love the chemistry between Sebastian and Clara. I adore, adore the siblings! Can't wait to read more :) Good job, author!
I can't wait for the next book ... I need more Nolan!
I need to talk about the triangular tension in this scene because WOW. You have Xie Zhe sitting across from Jiang Huaichu, playing chess, while Xiao Yun is literally behind a beaded curtain listening to every word. The author drops this detail so casually—Xiao Yun coughs to get their attention, Xie Zhe pretends it's nothing, and Jiang Huaichu notices everything. This kid is sharp. Like, uncomfortably sharp. But what really gets me is how each character reveals themselves through this setup. Xie Zhe, who has spent years cultivating an image of being untouchable and aloof, gets completely disarmed by someone who doesn't fear him. Jiang Huaichu's observation that Xie Zhe and Xiao Yun "clearly dislike each other" is both devastating and hilarious because it's TRUE. They don't dislike each other—they're just so tangled up in power dynamics and unspoken feelings that they can't even admit it to themselves. And Xiao Yun? The Emperor himself, reduced to sneezing behind a curtain like a chaperone at a teenage dance. He's testing Jiang Huaichu, watching how he handles Xie Zhe, and I swear the author is having too much fun with this. The moment Jiang Huaichu says he prefers Xiao Yun's chess style right in front of Xie Zhe—that's either the bravest or stupidest thing I've ever read. His explanation about being attracted to opposites is basically a love confession wrapped in philosophical language, and Xie Zhe doesn't even realize it yet.
I loved this book, i can't wait for another!
nice book author. amazing starting.
Awesome! This is the second book I’ve read from this author and it is outstanding! Love this family and their story. Wonderful storyline, written well, held my interest, strong characters, not drawn out and just an amazing love story. Adding you to my favorite list author. Will be reading more.
Love, love the story. Chapter 62 was amazing but can’t for things to move forward for them…and Theodore finding out he has a son…:)
what rubbish is this I can't waste my money reading about a stupid game ...... get into action already
Beautiful love story
Okay so I just finished these chapters and I'm already invested. The bar setup is such a classic scene but the author does it with so much flavor. Su Luoyan and Fu Siqi reuniting at Twilight Bar immediately pulls you in—there's this whole layer of history between them that the author doesn't over-explain but you FEEL it. The moment Su Luoyan unpinning the chat with Fu Cheng Shen hit me like a truck. That one small action tells us SO much about her internal conflict. She's clearly involved with him in some way but is afraid of exposure. "Forgive her cowardice." Ugh, I love that line. Then the plot thickens when those two guys hit on Su Luoyan and it turns out they're connected to Fu Siqi's ex, Wu Zixing. Classic bad guy entrance but executed well. The reveal that Wu Zixing cheated on Fu Siqi and then had the AUDACITY to blame HER for it? I literally rolled my eyes so hard. And Su Luoyan splashing that drink in his face—chef's kiss. The introduction of Mo Lin and that other sharp-eyed man at the end sets up what feels like a major plot pivot. I'm already wondering who the second man is and what his connection to Su Luoyan will be.
"I must admit, I've come across numerous negative comments about the system, and to some extent, I can relate. The system can be frustrating and seemingly useless, but when it comes to the main characters FL, their chemistry provides plenty of comedic gold. Each story arc stands out, as the male leads possess distinct personalities, preventing redundancy."
"However, there's one aspect that I find lacking: the random nature of rewards without a clear explanation of the system. This inconsistency can be confusing and detracts from the overall experience."
