YOu can definitely relate to the character's feelings and struggles :)
this is so interesting
The stakes in these chapters operate on two levels and the author plays both simultaneously. On the surface level, the physical danger is real and immediate. Berry cooking with firewood in a sealed apartment with the heater running? That's carbon monoxide territory. Feng Ci literally thinks she wants him dead. 'If you did [have poison], we'd be done for!' The toilet incident where a meter-high jet of water drenches him—small scale but same energy. Every interaction with Berry carries the risk of property damage, personal injury, or accidental arson. But the deeper stakes are emotional. Berry's magic is running out. She's a child alone in a world she doesn't understand, trying to get home. Feng Ci is a solitary man whose entire routine is being upended. The conflict isn't just 'can they survive each other'—it's 'what happens when two lonely people are forced to rely on each other?' The hospital visit at the end raises the stakes significantly because now Feng Ci is investing in her wellbeing rather than just trying to contain the damage. He's going from damage control to genuine concern, and that shift changes everything about what's at risk.
I love the story very captivating
87 chapters 2-8-24
An adult romance. No child's play. No contract marriage. No one-night stand with the rich billionaire or CEO BS. A genuine, proper novel about falling in love and overcoming obstacles. This is worth the read.
Five inner wolves?! This is insanely unique...
