I thoroughly enjoy this book, however even though I have the coins to carry on there is a block which keeps asking me to rate the book. And it is very expensive as the chapters keep progressing.
Okay hear me out—the jade pendant is doing a lot more work than just being a storage space unlocker. Think about it. In the original novel, the female lead steals it from the cannon fodder, and that theft is basically the moment Bao Tao's life is ruined. The pendant represents her mother's legacy, her inheritance, her survival. When Liu Bingxin takes it, she's not just taking an item, she's taking everything that made Bao Tao who she was. But Bao Taozi (the transmigrated version) refuses to let that happen. She actively seeks out the pendant, activates it herself, and claims the space before the female lead can. This is literally the cannon fodder rewriting her own fate by reclaiming the symbol of her oppression. The spiritual spring water that Liu Bingxin used to build her harem of followers? That's a pretty sharp commentary on how transactional most relationships are, even within families.

best book I've ever read so far hands down but it's still being written and I'm up to chapter 1thousand something and it's still being written and I haven't been able to get a new chapter in days so I wonder if the book is ever going to be finished because I'd like to know what happens with EVERYONE
Miss J.D books are all amazing highly recommend all of her mafia series but this one rite here omg to die for amazing read keep u on ur toes and wanting more bit by bit her writing is all a must read
