It's as simple as honest as it seems... not your regular Nigerian novel...
nice one Didi still reading
Hi readers. This book will be updated every Wednesday and Saturday. So stay tuned.
Cute story with some twists. The biggest shocker came at the end. Great ending. The author did a great job and I could see it being a movie. 2 thumbs up.
Let me just say — the author knows how to paint a scene. The entrance to the Phantom Beast Ruins alone gave me full sensory immersion. First, the marketplace outside: stalls hawking high-grade talismans, healing pills with buy-two-get-one-free deals, guides recruiting body cultivators. It felt like a real bazaar, not just a quest hub. You could hear the noise, see the chaos. Then the transition through that light gate — vision blurring, world changing — and suddenly you're in a forest where the trees are so tall you can't see their tops, vines choking everything, damp sweet-and-coppery scent in the air. That coppery note? Blood. The author didn't even need to say it outright. The contrast between outside (bright daylight, bustling commerce) and inside (dim, ancient, dangerous) was chef's kiss. It immediately told you: you've crossed a threshold. This place has its own rules. And the water source scene where we set traps — footprints everywhere, the careful camouflage, hiding in trees waiting. That tension of stillness before the fox appeared. I could feel the bark against my back, hear the rustling leaves. The ending with the red glow on the horizon and the ground shaking — cinematic. Absolute cinematic. I literally pictured a wide shot pulling back from our tiny figures against that massive approaching threat. This world feels lived-in. Not a sterile game board, but a place with ecology, economy, and danger at every turn.
This series shows great potential; from the first 10 chapters, it's clear that the story development will be excellent.
The problem? The translator won't continue because the author is on hiatus.
I hope those who can read Japanese will visit the author's page and offer some encouragement.
So he already finished cooking as of chapter 232? Or should I wait longer?
