Chapter 43.2 is now updated by my editor! Sorry for the wrong chapter huhu
Ok finished and I have to give 5 stars
Yes my last review I was upset , but things are brought together beautifully and gives you hope .. and belief you have to read this
I love this book, honestly its really good, good job author. And I also love your other books, Keep up the good work!. :)
Dark romance! I love it. My best genre. this is great, well done author
Okay so let me just say this: the plot setup here is genuinely clever. Most transmigration stories have the protagonist trying to avoid a bad ending, but Lin Shuyao's situation is so much more desperate. She's not just avoiding heartbreak—she's avoiding DEATH. The original owner of this body got framed, sent to prison, and died. That's not a rom-com problem, that's a survival problem. And the way the author reveals this? Slowly, through Lin Shuyao's internal monologue as she's already in motion. We learn about Chen Zhiheng's betrayal and Su Man's role in the original plot while Lin Shuyao is already on the train heading away from all of it. That's smart narrative layering. The biggest twist for me wasn't the transmigration itself—it was the divorce application. I genuinely did not see that coming. Lin Shuyao arrives in the hospital, heart racing, and Lu Chengjing casually drops that he already filed for divorce. And her reaction? Pure panic. Not because she loves him, but because that divorce paper is a lifeline she can't afford to lose. If she's divorced, her job transfer gets rejected, and she goes back to being cannon fodder. The stakes just shifted from 'escape a toxic romance' to 'survive a bureaucratic death sentence.' I love that. One thing I'm curious about though—how exactly does the 'power of the plot' work? The text says as long as she stays near Chen Zhiheng, she uncontrollably does stupid things. Is this a supernatural force? A psychological compulsion? The author hasn't explained it yet, and honestly, I'm fine with that mystery for now. But I'm wondering if it'll become a plot mechanism later, like she has to actively fight against it rather than just physically distance herself.
This is an incredible novel!!! The characters are so endearing, and the story keeps you hooked from start to finish!! I loved it so much that I created an account just to leave this review. I read it through machine translation, but I’ll definitely be following the official translation.
The book is enjoyable with a commendable main character (MC) and love interest (ML), but lacks sufficient tension or dramatic elements to maintain engagement. It comes across as rather平淡, which might be suitable for those who prefer lighthearted stories. However, to make it more compelling, it would be beneficial if the narrative included some obstacles or challenges for the characters to overcome.
"Dog blood test. Evil grandmother examination. Kind grandmother-in-law evaluation. Assessment of cruel relatives. A few trustworthy family members checked off. A reliable friend verified. White莲花 antagonist inspection. Little rivals turning into love interests. It's fine. Normally, I dislike it when the female lead has an extensive network like an endless pharmacy with secret weapon capabilities. But it can be monotonous when she doesn't utilize her era's wisdom. At least give me some plot development."
Not stupid at all but it will take some effort i guess
I think it's a matter of taste many like the info dump since it's mostly science related and how science ties down to the creation of martial techniques. Personally I love them.
Its weird how you say I'm right while thinking you're opposing me. I mean, this guy is apart of humanity, i say people like this guy is the reason, what's the difference between that and what you said? Unless of course you're saying this guy isn't apart of humanity, which is even worse than what i said about him.
Honestly? Idk why you're angry. Get rekt.
I thought that it was a long awaited new chapter. Imagine my disappointment from reading the first few words. I’m crestfallen.
