I thought Zelda would only be the funny one. I didn't expect it would be the same with Hunter. The way he was rejected and said that he would tell it to his parents was just hilarious lol. The humor of this book is not something to be missed. This book is a must-read for great entertainment. Awesome
Let's talk about Nan Lexi for a second because this woman is fascinating in the most disgusting way possible. She walks in with her pearls and jewels and retinue of maids, completely convinced she's won. 'Last night I had the general. You don't mind, do you?' She's literally bragging about sex with another woman's husband like it's a trophy. And Su Ran's response? Ice cold. 'To flaunt such private matters in public—how is that any different from the women of the brothels?' But here's what really got me—Nan Lexi's entire identity is built on this idea that she has something Su Ran doesn't: a man's love. When Su Ran says 'he isn't worthy,' it completely shatters Nan Lexi's worldview. You can see it in the text—Nan Lexi gets furious, stamps her foot, but she has no response. Because Su Ran just removed the entire foundation of Nan Lexi's confidence. This isn't just a rivalry between two women over a man. It's a collision between two completely different understandings of power and worth. And Su Ran? She's operating on a whole different frequency.
If I could double the stars for this story, I would do it. Great story and I couldn't stop reading it.
